Aspirus hosting six-week grief series
‘Getting Back to Life – After Loss’ starts Sept. 17
Wings, a Grief Education Ministry, and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services are offering a community grief series at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
The six-week series, called Getting Back to Life – After Loss, will meet each Tuesday starting Sept. 17 and ending Oct. 22. Each session runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will take place in the Aspirus Quality Services Conference room on Level 0 of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Nan and Gary Zastrow, certified grief educators, will be facilitating the education and support series that helps people find a way to go on without their loved one. Participants can expect to discover:
- What normal grief is and why you aren’t crazy.
- How to accept and take action in social grief situations.
- How to accept and deal with guilt, anger, and the barriers of grief.
- How to prepare yourself for life after grief.
This grief series is free of charge, but space is limited so pre-registration is appreciated. For more information or to register, call Nan Zastrow at 715.845.4159. A program flyer is also available online at aspirus.org/resources/Fall-2013-Grief-Series.pdf.
