Last week, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a report “Delivering High-Quality Cancer Care: Charting a New Course for a System in Crisis.” If you followed any of the media reports of it, you likely read dozens of headlines flagging that the “IOM Says Cancer Care in Crisis.” But such a headline, alliterative as it may be, does nothing to highlight that aspect of the problem that we are empowered to solve.
